Dear California Desert Chorale Patron:
In the interest of public health and in accordance with the latest policy from California Department of Public Health, The California Desert Chorale has cancelled its March 22 and March 29 performances of “Bach to Broadway”.
All of us are deeply saddened. However, the safety and well-being of our members, our guests and our community are paramount. Out of precaution based on science, this is the best course of action.
The California Desert Chorale has been a fabric of this community since 1994. Cancelling the spring season is extremely difficult as singers, volunteers and you – our guests and supporters – look forward to these performances each season.
We would be humbled should you wish to convert your ticket purchase into a donation to the Chorale. We will gladly send you a tax-deductible, 501C3 receipt for the amount. If you wish to do so, please email info@californiadesertchorale.org or call Julie Williamson at 760-346-4933. If you prefer to receive a refund in lieu of donating, we started issuing ticket refunds on March 27 and no action on your part is needed.
We look forward to bringing you a holiday concert series in December that celebrates the season, continues our musical outreach and celebrates our diverse community. In addition, we will deliver on our promise to bring you the “Bach to Broadway” collection next spring.

A Message from Artistic Director Tim Bruneau
Thank you for taking the time to visit California Desert Chorale’s website. After more than ten years as the Artistic Director of this organization, I take great pride in the many achievements of the wonderful group of people who make up our membership and the dedicated, tireless individuals who comprise our Board of Directors. Working together, these people raise collaboration to an art. I remain honored to be leading them to ever higher standards of performance and shepherding their emergence as one of the Coachella Valley’s genuine cultural treasures.
While a number of our members are professional singers, many others are talented, motivated amateurs who bring a wealth of musical education and varied choral experience to our ensemble. I’m convinced that it’s exactly this breadth of experience that allows me to explore an extraordinary variety of choral literature with the Chorale.
Whether you hear California Desert Chorale at one of our main concert series, or at one of our many community service performances for local charities, please take the time to stop and say hello to me and our members afterward. We are, first and foremost, about people working together, and we continually aspire to broaden and strengthen our connection to the people of our own beautiful valley. I invite you to come and witness the grace and humanity reflected on the faces of our members as they perform a piece of great music. You will, without question, be entertained, informed and enriched.
